Missouri recognizes low-speed vehicles under RSMo 304.029, which may not be operated on streets or highways with a posted speed limit greater than 35 mph. LSVs are exempt from titling and registration, but the operator must hold a valid driver's license and maintain financial responsibility (insurance); ordinary golf carts are governed separately by local ordinance (RSMo 304.034). Confirm current requirements with the Missouri Department of Revenue/DMV before relying on this.

This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice — golf-cart and LSV rules change and vary by city and county. Confirm the current requirements with the Missouri DMV before you buy or drive. What makes a golf cart street legal.
