Stinger GT30 30″ Riding Aerator with Factory-Installed SeedBox
Stinger GT30 30-Inch Riding Aerator With Factory-Installed SeedBox 30 This GT30 arrives with the SeedBox 30 fitted at the factory, pairing Stinger’s 9.7 mph riding aerator with a seeder that spreads seed across the full 30-inch working width as the tines work. A crew can aerate and overseed in one pass on a fuel-injected Kawasaki FT730V rated at 26 hp, and Stinger rates the GT30 at up to 2.5 acres per hour. AUTO Seeding With the GT30 Tine Switch The SeedBox controller’s AUTO mode ties seed flow to the tines: seed runs only while they are down. With the GT30’s three-position tine switch set to DOWN, the tines stay in the ground until the foot pedal is pressed, so pressing the pedal to lift the tines for a sharp turn or a 180 also stops the seed. Manual mode starts and stops flow on the power button alone. Clearing a Jammed GT30 Seed Gate If seed stops flowing, look first for an E8 code on the controller, which signals a jammed seed gate. With the unit off, inspect the gate for damage or debris, then unbolt the actuator and move the gate left and right by hand to check that it travels freely. With the actuator still unbolted, switch the SeedBox on and watch the actuator run before bolting it back. Stinger lists its 20 lb and 50 lb weight kits for both the GT30 and the GT30 with SeedBox, and the standard GT30 can take the SeedBox 30 later as an attachment. · Stinger
