Stinger Gateway Applicator Spreader and Sprayer
Stinger Gateway Applicator Stand-On Spreader and Sprayer With Honda GX390 The Gateway Applicator is a stand-on spreader and sprayer that meters product by ground speed. Wheel speed sensors tell the controller how fast the machine is moving, and it adjusts the flow to the spreader and to each spray nozzle to match, in forward or reverse, so the rate holds whether the operator is creeping around a bed or crossing open turf. When the wheels stop, application stops. Spreading and Spraying From One Gateway Platform The hopper holds 150 lb of granular product and throws it up to 24 feet wide from a curved impeller; the 22-gallon tank sprays a 10-foot band through two wide nozzles and a center trim nozzle. A narrow setting tightens the spread for trimming along walks and beds, and the pattern can be thrown to the left only or the right only. A momentary spot spray handles precision work, and a hand spray wand covers small areas. Stinger rates production at 4,800 square feet per minute. Gateway OneTouch Controls and Calibration The application functions sit on one control panel: spreader and sprayer on and off, impeller speed, spray pressure, narrow or wide pattern, and the parking brake. Thumb triggers on the front handles start and stop application while both hands stay on the bar. Stinger quotes calibration in five minutes or less and publishes the user guide and calibration program on its Gateway page, which also links the OneTouch app. The manual recommends spray pressure of 35 to 40 psi within the system’s 30 to 50 psi range. Gateway Applicator Figures Engine: Honda GX390, 11.7 hp Drive: hydrostatic, up to 5.6 mph Hopper: 150 lb Spray tank: 22 gal Spread width: 24 ft dry; spray width 10 ft Production: 4,800 sq ft per minute Fuel tank: 1.6 gal Width: 35 in; height: 43 in Tires: 18 in drive, 13 in steering Turning radius: 42 in Gateway Drive, Frame and Braking Stinger builds the Gateway with no belts, cables, leaking check valves or levers to maintain, using a commercial-grade direct drive pump and motor and a stainless frame with a powder-coat finish. Braking comes from the hydrostatic drive plus an electronic parking brake, and the machine stops moving and stops applying if the operator steps off and lets go of the speed control. The manual limits it to slopes of 15 degrees or less, climbed at a 45-degree angle. Outfitting the Gateway Applicator Stinger’s single and dual 2.5-inch receiver hitch carriers carry the Gateway on a truck’s hitch, and its calibration kit holds the tools for setting rates. The Gateway’s accessory list also includes spray tips, a tank fill strainer and a Honda high flow kit. · Stinger
