Stinger Dual-Aer 2475 24″ Walk-Behind Aerator
Stinger Dual-Aer 2475 24-Inch Dual Hydrostatic Walk-Behind Aerator The Dual-Aer 2475 is Stinger’s 24-inch walk-behind aerator with two hydrostatic transmissions, one for each side, steered through a pair of hand levers. A Honda GXV390 (390cc, 10.2 hp) runs the whole machine. It pulls cores across a 24-inch swath at up to 5 mph forward, which Stinger rates at 53,856 square feet, or about 1.24 acres, per hour. Steering the Dual-Aer 2475 on Two Hydros Push both levers forward to drive ahead, pull both back to reverse at up to 2 mph, and ease one lever back to turn toward that side. The tines can stay in the ground through a turn. The manual’s turning advice is to slow the inside tines without stopping them, since stopped tines tear the turf, and to avoid turning in reverse. Every control runs through hard linkages rather than control cables. Core Depth and the Tine Shaft Cores reach 3 inches deep. Depth is set by moving a shoulder bolt on each side into one of three threaded holes: the top hole gives the deepest core and the bottom hole the shallowest. The tine shaft turns on four bearings, each greased every 50 hours, and the drive chains want 1/4 to 3/8 inch of slack, checked weekly once the machine is broken in. Dual-Aer 2475 Measurements Engine: Honda GXV390, 390cc, 10.2 hp Aerating width: 24 in; depth up to 3 in Ground speed: 5 mph forward, 2 mph reverse Production: 53,856 sq ft per hour Fuel tank: 0.55 gal Weight: 370 lb Footprint: 35.5 in wide, 61 in long, 47 in tall Drive tires: 13 x 5.00-6 Transporting the Dual-Aer 2475 Stinger lists an optional sulky for the Dual-Aer 2475 that locks up for easy transport. Lift the tines before transporting the machine and before crossing concrete, tree roots or any other hard surface, as the manual directs. Dual-Aer 2475 or EZ-Aer The EZ-Aer 19 and 25 use a single hydrostatic drive steered by pushing the handlebar, with folding handles for loading. Choose the Dual-Aer 2475 when lever steering on two hydros and a 5 mph working speed matter more than folding handlebars. The SuperSeeder 2400 shares its 24-inch working width and its 35.5 by 61-inch footprint, and both machines take Stinger’s walk-behind sulky. · Stinger
