Motorcycles · Cruiser · The 1999 Excelsior-Henderson Super X is a rare, and famous for its distinctive 1920s-style leading-link front fork and "X-Twin" 1386cc engine, only about 1,161 units were produced for the 1999 model year. Engine: 1386cc (85 cubic-inch), 50-degree V-twin engine with dual overhead cams (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder. It utilized an advanced electronic fuel injection system. Power Output: Produced about 60 to 63 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Front Suspension: The most iconic design feature was the retro-style, leading-link (anti-dive) front suspension featuring massive, exposed dual coil springs.
